Overview
Antitrust Law, also called the Competitive Law in most of the European and Asian Countries, is the law to prevent the emergence of monopolies in an industry which defeat the healthy competition in a the industry which is against the interests of the Country. Antitrust Law prohibits and regulates the practices which restrict or control the Competitive Activities by a business by whatsoever means. The United States v. Microsoft case is a perfect example of the applicability and power of Antitrust Law wherein Microsoft was held liable for abusing its Monopoly towards the Internet Web-Browsers against Netscape Navigator and Opera browsers.
